Independent Music Company
KOTHACurated Music Distribution & Label Services
Supporting independent artists through selective curation, strategic distribution and long-term partnerships.
- Independent
- Invitation only
- Quality over quantity
- Long-term partnerships
A small music company, built deliberately.
KOTHA exists for artists who want their catalogue handled with the same care they put into making it.
We work with a deliberately small number of artists so that distribution, metadata and release strategy receive real attention, not automation. Fewer names on the roster means more room for the ones that are there.
Curated
a.01We do not accept open submissions. Every artist on the roster arrives through review and invitation, which keeps our attention undivided.
Independent
a.02No parent company, no external mandate. Decisions are made by the people who work directly with the music.
Built for serious artists
a.03For artists treating their catalogue as a body of work, with intent behind each release rather than a calendar to fill.
Long-term partnerships
a.04We plan in years, not campaigns. Catalogue value compounds when someone is tending it consistently.
Human-first
a.05You correspond with people, not a ticket queue. Context carries between conversations because the same team stays with you.
What we handle.
Everything required to move a record from finished master to a catalogue that keeps earning.
Music Distribution
Delivery to every major streaming platform and download store, with release windows, territories and pre-save timing handled properly.
Label Services
The infrastructure of a label: planning, coordination, rights administration and reporting, without giving up ownership of your work.
Metadata Management
Credits, ISRCs, splits and contributor data prepared accurately so your work is attributed and paid correctly the first time.
Release Strategy
Sequencing singles, EPs and albums into a release narrative that builds rather than resets with each upload.
Editorial Pitching
Considered pitches to editorial and algorithmic teams, written with the context that makes a record worth programming.
Catalogue Management
Ongoing stewardship of your back catalogue, from artwork and takedowns to re-releases and long-tail performance.
Artist Support
Direct access to the people handling your releases, with answers that carry context from every prior conversation.
How an artist joins KOTHA.
Six steps, in order. The process is intentionally slow because that is how the roster stays small.
Apply
Send your links and a short note about what you are building. No submission fee, no portal to navigate.
Review
We listen properly. Every application is read by a person, and we weigh intent and trajectory as much as streams.
Invitation
If there is a fit, we extend an invitation. If there is not, you still hear back. Silence is not an answer.
Access Code
Invited artists receive a single-use access code that opens the KOTHA artist workspace.
Submission
Deliver masters, artwork and metadata in the workspace. We check every field before anything ships.
Distribution
Your release goes live across platforms, and the long-term work of catalogue stewardship begins.
Request an invitation.
Applications are reviewed by a person. Expect a reply either way; we do not leave artists waiting in silence.
Step 1 of 4: About You.
About You
Questions, answered plainly.
If something is not covered here, write to us directly and a person will reply.
Invitation Only
Ready to work with KOTHA?
Tell us what you are building. If there is a fit, we will be in touch with an invitation.
